A dynamic healthcare leader and one of ASEAN’s most credentialed pharmacists, Kevin Ben Laurence spans entrepreneurship, clinical practice, and international professional governance. As a multi-licensed pharmacist in Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, he leads businesses across consulting, healthcare services, and family enterprises—while maintaining deep involvement in pharmaceutical development, health policy, and professional education. His multidisciplinary portfolio includes serving as Founder & CEO of SingMed Clinic, alongside holding strategic leadership positions in global, regional, and national organisations such as the FIP Foundation for Education and Research (https://www.fipfoundation.org/), the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS), the Indonesia Pharmacist Association (IAI), Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS), Association of Indonesia Pharmacy Professionals (PAFI), The Indonesia Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (ICEA / PERPIT) and the Singapore Chamber of Commerce Indonesia (SCCI). Kevin is also a member of the Kolegium Farmasi, which is part of the Indonesia Health Council (KKI). In this role, he contributes to shaping the direction and development of the pharmacist profession in Indonesia. Through these roles, he contributes to advancing pharmacy practice, empowering professionals, and strengthening healthcare systems across Asia.
Throughout his career, Kevin has earned distinctions that set him apart in the region’s healthcare landscape. He is the first ASEAN pharmacist to hold triple Ministry of Health licences (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia)—a rare professional milestone—and the first pharmacist in both Indonesia and Malaysia to obtain the Board Certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist (BCMTMS) credential from the National Board of Medication Therapy Management (USA). His impact extends into academia and global research, supported by prestigious scholarships including the STARmeds Master of Pharmacy scholarship and the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA Scholarship for Entrepreneurship. In 2021, he has been honoured with the “Local Heroes” award by the Indonesian Pharmacist Association and the Indonesian Young Pharmacist Group. In 2025, he was awarded the Distinguished Young Pharma Entrepreneur International Award by the Governing Council of St Peter's Educational Association.
With a career rooted in service, innovation, and cross-border collaboration, Kevin continues to champion leadership development, healthcare quality, and patient-centred pharmacy practice across the region. From shaping policy discussions to driving healthcare ventures, he exemplifies a new generation of global health entrepreneurs committed to elevating standards and expanding access. He welcomes opportunities to collaborate with partners, organisations, and industry leaders seeking to advance pharmaceutical practice and build stronger healthcare ecosystems.
