With more than 15 years of experience in banking and corporate finance, Amr Al Shaher is an accomplished Corporate Banking professional with expertise in managing corporate accounts, credit facilities, loan portfolios, and depositary relationships. Currently serving as Head of Corporate Banking at Ithmaar Bank, he brings extensive experience in corporate

relationship management, credit underwriting, and business development.

Amr has built a strong career across leading Bahraini financial institutions, progressing through increasingly senior corporate banking roles. At Albaraka Islamic Bank, he served as Head of Corporate Banking and Acting Chief of Corporate & Institutional Banking Officer, while earlier roles at Bahrain Islamic Bank and BBK focused on commercial banking, SMEs, corporate real estate and construction, and corporate relationship management. He also gained early banking experience in Treasury at National Bank of Bahrain.

With an MBA with Distinction from Bangor University and professional qualifications including CMA and CSCA, Amr combines strong financial expertise with strategic corporate banking capabilities. His career reflects a consistent focus on growing credit facilities and loan portfolios, attracting depositary relationships, managing key corporate clients, and delivering solutions aligned with both client and bank objectives.
